There will be one tunnel/ chamber open in Warstone Lane catacombs and no human remains or coffins will be seen. These catacomb tours are rare events.

10.45am, 11.45 am 12.45 pm, and 1.45pm. We may add an additional 2.45pm tour.
Please meet at the Friends Information stall /gazebo in Warstone lane cemetery with your ticket and to collect your admittance badge. Only those with a ticket will gain admittance.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear.
The duration of each catacomb tour is 20 to 40 minutes depending on Q & A. If you wish to book tickets for neighbouring Key Hill catacombs/ chambers interior tour, please book this separately allowing time between each tour, time to book in, at the information stall and the walk to neigbouring Key Hill cemetery with a volunteer. Example if your book a Warstone Lane catacomb tunnel tour at 12.45pm it is unlikely you will have time for the Key Hill catacomb chamber tours at 1.40pm wise to book an earlier or later tour for the neigbouring cemetery leaving an hour clear in between tours
The same applies if you have booked Key Hill catacombs then a Warstone catacombs tour later.

It is also important to note that the catacombs can be dark, narrow and claustrophobic, However, if you are looking for a unique and thrilling way to celebrate Halloween, a tour of the Key Hill cemetery catacombs is not to be missed!
No human remains will be seen. Viewing the interior chambers at 10.40am, 11.40am, 12.40pm 1.40pm we may add a 2.40pm tour
Please meet at the Friends Information stall /gazebo in Warstone lane cemetery with your ticket and to collect your admittance badge.
A steward will then lead the group of attendees to meet your tour guide in Key Hill cemetery. Only those with an admittance badge will gain entry to the catacombs.

Are researching your family history and looking for an ancestors grave? Visit the Friends information & sales stall come and ask questions regarding grave inquiries, purchase items items at the sales stall or make a donation. All revenue is for the Friends Grave Restoration Fund to enable the repair of damaged & broken and graves.

Novelty bone pens are just some of the items for sale. Other items include new and used book, limited edition candles, limited bags, key rings, poppy brooches, magnets.
CEMETERY tours Stories from the Stones, are the second Sunday of the month Warstone Lane cemetery tour at 12 noon Key Hill cemetery tour at 2pm Meeting place in each cemetery.
Pre-booking is required via the Friends website www.fkwc.org or via website Eventbrite.
Note that Sunday cemetery tours – Stories from the Stones, the duration of each tour is about one and half to two hours each cemetery. Both tours require booking separately.

Key Hill cemetery is the final resting place of Joseph Chamberlain , Alfred Bird, Thomas Avery, William Murphy, John Skirrow Wright Joseph Tangye, Constance Naden , Harriet Martineau , Marie Bethel Beauclerc , Rev George Dawson , Henry Palethorpe, Joseph Gillott, Robert Lucas Chance , William Butler , Thomas Walker , Isaac Horton, James Hinks . Meeting Place: Near the small island inside Key Hill Cemetery,at the Icknield Street gate entrance not far from Key Hill Circus on the A4540 at 1.50pm for a 2pm start . Key Hill cemetery has black railings and is not far from neighbouring Warstone Lane Cemetery ( red railings) that also has an entrance on Icknield Street ( view separate event for Warstone Lane Cemetery tour at 12 noon )
