What you will do: Explore the inside of empty Victorian catacomb chambers.
What you will learn: Brief history of Key Hill Cemetery, why the catacombs were created, learn about Mount Misery, the Guardians of the Poor, discover the different types of burials & the decline of the catacombs.
Special highlight: Learn about some of the prominent residents, plus the connection to the author Washington Irving ( Sleepy Hollow & Rip Van Winkle)
These Catacombs were used as Air Raid Shelters by residents and workers during WWII.

: Take Tour 2 (The Victorian Underground Tunnel)
What you will do:. Explore the hidden tunnel beneath the cemetery
What you will learn: Uncover the original purpose behind its creation, the connection to the former church in Warstone Lane Cemetery.
Special highlight: Secrets of the Subterranean: Hear the fascinating, morbid tale of John Baskerville—the legendary printer & font designer whose body was moved, displayed, and reburied multiple times before finding a final home in the catacombs
